Women’s Aid Organization (WAO) has been the organization at the forefront pushing for legal reform in the area of Anti-Stalking. When they finally were able to move ahead in this area – particularly when the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) organized a stakeholder consultation in order to draft the proposed amendments to Penal Code for anti-stalking, AWAM had requested to be a part of the meeting and support WAO in the meeting.

The anti-stalking amendments to the Penal Code are expected to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat in March 2020.
